Floral rose Nail Art! ~

Hey guys!

Today I am helping out at the place where my Mum works, it's a place called 'Rosewood Villa' (yes, like Pretty Little Liars. It amuses me too) and it is the anniversary of them being open, so they are holding a summer Fair. To be supportive some of the staff are wearing logo tshirts, or dressing up for the occasion, my Mum and I decided that floral Rose nails were enough!

My obsession with nail art disappeared for a while but I think I'm on a roll again with it, and so I painted both my nails and her nails, I had a pretty fun time too!

First is my Mams nails, these were very simple, Kath Kidson inspired Rose nails, I'm really not used to painting other peoples nails, so I was pretty proud at how these turned out! Even though they were really easy I think they're pretty effective and my Mam can't wait to show them off later!

My nails didn't turn out so well, for some reason they look better on camera though! I started with a nude colour and then done black and holographic silver stripes before using acrylic paints to create a flower pattern, almost like a border. I messed up on of the nails so I went ahead and made an accent nail using different studs and gems.

If you would like to see more nail art posts just let me know, when I find some inspiration again, I might just post again!

Hope you all have a great day!

Sleek LipCubed Palettes!

Hey guys!

A few weeks ago I was stalking Facebook, as I do pretty much everyday, and I noticed Sleek Make-up advertising some new Lip Palettes and the colours looked right up my street! And so I went into Superdrug on a mission to find them but they didn't have the ones I wanted, I travelled over to the MetroCentre and I got my hands on two of the ones I had my eye on!

The palettes are made up of four different lip colours and the packaging describes them as "a colour-rich lipstick quad with 3 different formulations to create a variety of looks".  It is a "palette of four highly pigmented lipsticks with Matte, Gloss and satin finishes".

The first one I picked up was the 'showgirl' palette with different purple and pink lip colours, I've used it a few times since buying it and holy moly, it is amazing. I'm very into bright pinks and purples this season, along with bright oranges, and this just ticks all of the boxes.

My favourite colours are 'Jewel' and 'Vegas', which are both fairly bright pink colours, I think they're both matte shades too. It's also tried the gloss colour, which is the darkest in the palette, and it has surprisingly good colour payoff and lasting power, I'm very impressed.

Going back to my love of orange, the next Palette I purchased was 'Siren', which was the one I wanted so desperately when the products were announced. It is again made up of Matte, Satin and Gloss shades but this time they're all orange based colours and I am head over heels in love. This picture is a much more accurate representation of what they look like in real life, there's a bright orange, a peach, a coral pink and an orange based red and they're all very wearable shades for the summer months.

I haven't used this Palette yet but the bright orange colour looks amazing and I think I'll use it a lot. I love the fact they all come with a handy lipstick brush and huge mirror. They're fairly small in size and light weight which makes them perfect for travelling. I'm travelling quite a lot this summer and I just know that these are going to feature.

I'm going back to Superdrug tomorrow to see what other variations they have in stock, I can see where all of my Payday money is going!

What do you guys think of these? Are you going to have a mooch?

I highly recommend them, great colours, great lasting power, great price!

A 'Fierce' lilac lipgloss!

Hey guys!
As I mentioned in my last post I went a bit mental in Leeds with my Money. This was my only beauty/ make-up purchase and of course, it was Illamasqua. Wandering through Victoria Quarter we stumbled across an Illamasqua shop. I freaked out a little. There isn't anywhere to buy it in Newcastle, I order online and rely on internet swatches to form opinions so walking in it felt a bit like heaven.

The girl working there was so amazing, showing me the new I'mperfection collection but she wasn't pushy or anything, really helpful and I didn't feel as though a purchase was forced onto me. I find when I go to buy more 'high-end' products the workers can be a little snooty, I'm looking at you YSL counter lady. *grumble*

I honestly had no intention of buying anything, simply looking for things I might want for my birthday, everyone is asking me what I want, it's not for three months people. But anyway, how could I resist splashing out on another lippie product? On to the amazing purchase!

This is an intense lipgloss is the colour 'fierce' and it's a lilac/pink colour. I'm in love! I think it's going to be the perfect spring shade, worm over a lilac or darker purple lipstick.

This is the colour worn alone, It's really really gorgeous and despite the fact it's a light purple colour it doesn't come across as a strange shade to wear. I think it goes well with my super pale skin, then again I'm not so bothered about wearing 'out there' colours. Saying that, the green lipstick isn't really striking me as something I want to own.

This is the gloss worn over a light pink lipstick, it's become a combination I've been wearing for the last few days because it's so gorgeous. I do love the gloss on it's own but this tones down the lilacyness, yes that's a word, but makes other colours just seem more fantasmic. Again, that's totally a word!

I now have other things on my wishlist and I need to resist temptation and not buy them. I haven't been using this long enough to give a full review although I wore it for work today and it managed to last a good 4 hours, although it did get really drying after about 3 hours. By the time I got home it was very flaky, but is I had a lip balm or time to reapply during the day I don't think it would have been an issue!

A Minnie Mouse OOTD!

Hey guys!

I got home from Leeds late last night after a coach journey full of drama, including being rudely woken up by some kids throwing bricks at the bus window, thankfully no-one was harmed, although the window did break. Idiots, the lot of them! I did have a great time though, spend wayyyy too much money on things I totally did not need.

On another note, it's finally Spring! Aces! Yes it's still cold, but I'm a Geordie, I have a good thick skin, I'm immune to cold. Not really, but I don't get cold too easily, I didn't wear a coat today. Today was a day of gardening, yes I like gardening, going to the local shops to get some things for dinner and doing some work, so nothing too fancy.. I did do my make-up though, mainly to procrastinate.

I got this amazing cat ear hat on Ebay right here, I adore it! I'm pretty sure you can get them in Toshop but they're pretty expensive. Yes, I still have a hat obsession but I've moved on from beanies to bowler hats for spring... Are you really surprised?

My cropped top is from Primark for a whole £6! I love anything Disney and this is such a nice length. It usually reaches my belly button but it rides up a bit sometimes, which, depending on my bottoms, I don't mind. I've been wearing this with skater skirts too, not tucked in, and it looks really cute too! My jeans are also a Primark special, as usual.

I went for a quick brown smoky eye using Maybelline colour tattoo in 'On and On Bronze' all over the lid and then a dark brown shimmer on the outside of my eye, blending them together a little. Super quick and easy, it took like 30 seconds to do and the cream shadow is so pigmented and easy to apply with just your finger. I used the Illamasqua lipgloss in 'fierce' over a light pink lipstick and used Rimmel 'Santa Rose' as a blush.

Hats are coming in very handy right now because my hair needs dyed so badly and it just looks dirty constantly! But hopefully by tomorrow my hair will be all platinum blonde and pretty again!
Hope you're all having a great day!

LOreal GlamShine Stain Review!

Hey hi hello!

A few weeks ago LOreal released a new lipstain called the 'Glamshine Stain Splash', after FluerDeForce mentioned them on her youtube channel I decided to pick some up. On the Boots website they are described as "a gloss that acts like a stain. Afirst of its kind 30% water-based formula to finally quench your thirst for shine AND lasting colour!" I agree!

left to right: Bonnie, Milady, Princess, Eve and Juliet
Because my camera doesn't like to pick up shiny things very well this is the best picture I could get. The packaging is so sleek and gorgeous, it looks so much more high-end than it really is. These are an incredible dupe for the YSL Glossy Stains, they give the same effect, they smell the same and the lasting power is amazing!

left to right: Bonnie, Eve, Milady, Princess and Juliet

Because I a complete fail the top picture and this one doesn't match up. These swatches show one coat opf the product. You can kind of see that the products looks different than they do in the bottle. On the lips I find it best to do one coat, let it dry a little and then reapply a second coat. This just makes the colours so vibrant and it makes the lasting power even longer!

The brilliant thing about this is also that it is multifunctional! You can use one coat over a lipstick and use it as a gloss just for a hint of colour but two coats alone is an amazing opaque colour. If you don't like intense smells you probably won't like this, to me it smells like red wine or cherries but I personally love the smell.

Bonnie

This is a gorgeous peachy orange colour, I think a great Spring colour. It's not an 'in your face' orange but it really is gorgous. This is possibly my favourite colour out of all of them, which is strange because I tend to go for brights or darks when it comes to lipstick.

Eve

Eve is a gorgeous light pink colour which is almost Lilac. In the spring I've going to layer this over my Lilac lipstick from Barry M and it'll be an amazing combonation! I love this as a neutral colour, it's perfect for work and because it does last for hours you know it's not going to rub off half way through my shift.

For less than a tenner these are a bargain, they're also on 3 for 2 in Boots right now. These are exactly like the YSL stains but for half the price...which is why I have five.

I have an obsession with these, I've been wearing them everyday. I would say they last a good seven hours before fading at all, that's even after eating and drinking!

Have you guys tried these at all?
